| President/Treasurer Michigan Building & Construction Trades Council Bio: Walter D. Christophersen is a Business Representative for the Michigan Building and Construction Trades Council. He is President of the Executive Board of the West Michigan Construction Alliance. He is also a member of the Michigan Apprenticeship and Steering Committee. Mr. Christophersen is a past Business Manager/Financial Secretary for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – LU 275. In that position, among other things, he was the lead negotiator in contract bargaining. He also headed up the labor side of the West Michigan Labor/Management Cooperation Committee. Prior to this Walter was the Training Director of the jointly run West Michigan IBEW/NECA Electrical Apprenticeship Program, and prior to this he worked with the tools as Journeyman Electrician. Mr. Christophersen is a graduate of the 5-year IBEW/NECA Electrical Apprenticeship. He is also a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Mathematics, and Philosophy. |  |
